Power & adapters. India uses 230 V at 50 Hz with Type C, D, and M sockets. A universal travel adapter handles all three — the front desk has spares if yours is missing or has broken in transit.
Connectivity. Local SIMs (Airtel, Jio, Vi) and eSIMs are widely available at the airport and in Sector 17. Ola, Uber, and InDrive all work in Chandigarh — connect through Wi-Fi at the hotel before downloading the apps and verifying your phone number.
Payments. UPI (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm) is the most common everyday payment in India and works at most shops, restaurants, and even small vendors. Indian cards and most international credit cards are accepted at the hotel and at larger venues. Keeping small cash on hand is useful for auto-rickshaws and roadside snacks.
Money exchange & ATMs. ATMs accepting international cards are within easy reach of the hotel — the front desk can direct you to reliable ones, and to authorised money-changers in Sector 17 if you need to exchange currency. We do not exchange currency ourselves.
